Wood Carving: Swan Spoons – Spring 2025

Class Overview

Develop the art of spoon carving with an elegant twist! In this hands-on wood carving workshop, learn how to carve a beautifully detailed wooden spoon in the graceful form of a swan. 

Supplies Needed

• No. 7 Bent Sweep Gouge (10mm), such as

• .
• Cut-resistant gloves and Cut Resistant Tape, such as
• Schwer SlicePro ANSI A9 Cut Resistant Gloves
• and
• Batino 6 Rolls Cut Resistant Tape
• . You need one cut-resistant glove for your non-dominant hand to hold the project securely and a protective carving roll for the other hand, which grips the knife.
