Description:
Relief carving is the method used to raise a carved design on wood so that it stands above the background. Our instructor Saman will guide each student though a series of project-based exercises designed to build the student’s confidence. Carving chisels come in a myriad of shapes and sizes and learning the proper way to sharpen and hone the basic chisel shapes will be emphasized. This hands-on course will give you the fundamentals you need to move on to Three-Dimensional Carving and Carving for Furniture.
