Description:
The Acanthus Leaf has been carved since ancient times, and is still popular today. This carving class is for those that would like to take up carving more seriously. Students will be introduced to traditional acanthus leaf designs, and the fundamentals of carving required for this class. Including sharpening, care and maintenance of carving chisels, tool choices, transferring designs onto wood, the correct sequence of steps required to produce any 3D carving design, tool control and how to apply a basic oil and wax finish.
Tuition Notes:
A material of $25 payable to the instructor is required for this class.
